SVF broadcasted a live radio program to discuss the role of the family in protecting their children from deviance attended by the psychologist from the National Centre for Researches and Studies Mr. Mohamamd Issa, and Mrs. Khaldia Al.Louh, psychologist from Woman Empowerment Center - Nuseirat. Mrs. Al.Louh assisted that the family certainly has a great role in the social upbringing, but they are not alone in playing this role, there are nursery, school and various institutions, and it is the main institution for the upbringing which is the most important process of social interaction. Furthermore, Mrs. Al.Louh described upbringing as process that formed the criteria for the individual and the skills and motivations, attitudes and behavior to conform with the customs and culture of the community. In this regard, she pointed out that marital disputes between parents reflect negatively on the mental health of the children explained that the family is a social pattern consisting of a set of interactions between father and mother and child, so any imbalance in the relationship between the father and the mother affects the whole family and the child is the most affected one from such problems. In this sense, Mr. Issa referred that the dangerous when getting these conflicts up to normal, it becomes not a healthy phenomenon at both the parents and family in general and children in particular. On his part, Mr. Issa referred risks of parents' conflicts on child including psychological disorders among children, such as autism, aggressive in old age may lead to psychological illness, depression, and has become negative trends towards the idea of marriage. On the other side, Mr. Issa emphasized that violence against children is a negative social phenomenon which need to be controlled because of consequences that do not just affect a child's future, but also affect the course of the whole society where violence against children generate a lot of abnormal problems like anger, contempt and lack of seriousness and hostility and vengeance to society. In conclusion, each of the guests confirmed on the need to follow up children behaviors and to identify problems and satisfy their needs to build strong generation. |
