SVF produced and broadcasted a live radio program entitled "Juvenile delinquency, product of the family's disintegration" on February 17, 2010, hosted by the lawyer Mrs. Hala Abdan from the Women's Programs Center - Al.Maghazi. She defined the delinquent Juvenile from the social and legal perspective as the work of anti-social in contrary to the expectations of society and valid law. On her part, she indicated to some of the modern psychological studies, which consider Juvenile, is delinquent if his behavior runs the risk of him or anyone else. In this regard, she pointed out that the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency is serious social challenge in the strongest terms of society and families. Hence, she recommended institutions to pay more attention to the actions of their children to protect them from deviation and delinquency.
Through the meeting, Mrs. Abdan tackled some aspects of juvenile delinquency, involving the need to escape from house and insist on accompanying bad friends and contrary social values, chaos and frequent failure. In this context, she indicated to the factors lead to juvenile delinquency, including persecution, deprivation, divorce, family conflicts and the bad economic situation of families, which play an important role in juvenile delinquency.
At the end of the meeting, Mrs. Abdan raised some recommendations and advices stressing that the health and mental care of children, warm atmosphere of family, cultural climate within the family, relations between parents and the dominant values of the family are all factors that must be available in the home in order to steer them away from delinquency, depression, and the loss of these factors will create suitable conditions for the deviation, delinquency and crime. She concluded that to reform juveniles, they need good social, family atmosphere as well as appropriate physical, educational and cultural environment to protect and preserve society and children from delinquency and falling into crimes.
