SVF held a meeting in cooperation with the Palestinian Rural Farmers Development Association - Nuseirat entitled "Youth and the challenges of fact" on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, participated by the psychologist Mr. Mohammad Isa from the National Center for Research, attended by a number of graduates and community activists. Mr. Issa stressed that youth is the time for hopes and aspirations to build their own future and life. In this regard, Mr. Issa indicated that young people need to open way to their ambitions. Furthermore, they need opportunities for scientific and practical progress. On his part, Mr. Issa referred to the issue of unemployment pointing out that unemployment opens doors wide for immigration for young people who are looking for the reality of secure future. In this sense, he assisted on the role of the concerned institutions at shaping the personality and the development of energies and talents and called the institutions to develop programs to accommodate young people and develop their abilities and skills, to the benefit of the youth's and community's future. Mr. Issa also pointed the psychological impact resulting a state of anxiety and mental and psychological turmoil and, may turn into a state of frustration that might be lead to aggression and rebellion against the social reality.
On the other hand, Mr. Issa referred that there are many social studies, which show that the lack of employment opportunities and high level of unemployment among young people is one of the most important causes of delinquency.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Issa stressed the importance to be aware and take into attention the challenges facing our youth, and stressed that the family, government and civil institutions, are all required to double the efforts and attention to the care of this young generation, to help them meet the challenges of today's problems.
