SVF organized a public awareness meeting in cooperation with the Sabra Social Association at Gaza on "youth ... and their relationship to the social coherence" participated by 18 of graduates and youth. The speaker of the meeting was the community activist Mr. Jaber Abu Zahir. Mr. Abu Zahir referred that the future of the society is based on the real situation of youth. In this sense, he pointed out that monitoring, identifying and studying the reality of youngsters and their problems is the first step in the context of planning for strategy for the development of society. On his part, he assisted that the reasons behind the social crisis due to the lack of the family educational role as a result of the increased material and life pressures including the impact of street, school clubs and formal organizations.
On the other side, he confirmed the family monitoring role on the media tools besides expanding and deepening the educational role of the family in reducing and overcoming the negative impacts of the media. In conclusion, Mr. Abu Zahir assisted the importance of establishing and deepening family relationships based on democratic dialogue to contribute at overcoming forms of prevailing culture and reducing the negative impacts socially. He concluded with assertion on the necessity of activating the role of cultural institutions that are supposed to have a leading role in shaping the cultural identity of community with take responsibility of young people towards social and family coherence
