SVF invited Mr. Sharif Mosleh, social activist from Alrwad Association for Developmental Work and Mr. Mo'en Shaqfa, Director of the Earth Center for Media and Communication to talk in a live radio program on "The Palestinian youth Culture ... between consciousness and unconsciousness" on June 2, 2010. Mr. Shaqfa referred the importance of exploiting youth energies towards development and construction. On his part, Mr. Shaqfa pointed out the Palestinian youth challenges including cultural, social, political, intellectual, economic and scientific as well as shortcomings of the educational process led to lack of awareness to human values in general and social changes in community in particular.
On the other hand, Mr. Mosleh confirmed that our youth suffers from contradictions and conflicts that affect their cultural level to touch the whole life sides. Regardless of the cultural level, Mr. Mosleh indicated that Palestinian youth suffers feelings of frustration and despair as a result of the deterioration of economic conditions and the spreading of unemployment. He indicated that youth also lost cultural identity and the increasingdiscontent feeling on the social living conditions. In conclusion, both guests emphasised on the need to eliminate injustice and tyranny besides creating true democracies allow freedom of opinion and expression through implanting national economic development to meet the needs of the individual and society, and through the establishment of a culture based on mutual respect and constructive humanitarian values.
