SVF invited Mr. Ramzi Okasha, coordinator of summer camps in Sharek Forum, and Mr. Rami Alrwag, social worker in the Childhood Development Association to talk in a live radio program on " Summer camps .... Between entertainment and psychological support ". Mr. Okasha addressed the concept of summer camps as a place of life based on the participation of children in all the various activities. Furthermore, he indicated that the idea of summer camps is old renewed in the nineties. On his part, he stressed the importance of summer camps at developing the capacity of children, meeting thier natural needs of play and fun and promoting the values of tolerance and social understanding.
On the other side, Mr. Alrwag assisted the child's right at joining such camps to meet their needs of fun, joy and entertainment to reduce the pressure faced children during a school year as a result of study and examinations, and fatigue as well as the suffering of chock blockade imposed upon the Gaza Strip.
In conclusion, Mr. Alrwag confirmed that all those responsible for children children, whether family, school, summer camps must unify efforts to work together as a single unit. Mr. Okasha concluded that summer camps contribute largely at enhancing child's self-confidence and creating a leader in the future depends on him.
