Society Voice Foundation held a youth meeting on " Volunteerism and its impact on youth " in collaboration with Environment Support Association in Khan Younis on Thursday June 17, 2010 attended by 25 participants of young leaders and students. The meeting tackled the importance role of voluntary work and its impact at preparing and empower young leaders; physically, psychologically, socially and professionally.
The participants referred the reasons that drive youth to volunteer; the feeling of responsibility towards their homeland and the desire to acquire new experiences beside to contribute at build their country through their participation in voluntary work.
The attendance also addressed the challenges face the youth after their graduation including unemployment, corruption whether administrative and functional which lead to volunteering as the only hope to get a job.
In conclusion, the participants assisted the importance of voluntary work to build a community based on integral bases of team work as a great family community towards its cohesion and unity.
