SVF organized a youth meeting in cooperation Al Hayat for Family Development Association at Khanyounis on "Strengthening the concept of democracy and dialogue among Youth" on Thursday, July 1, 2010 attended by 20 participants graduates. Mr. Jaber Abu Zaher, social activist from the SVF was the speaker of the meeting.
Mr. Abu Zaher assisted the importance role of youth in building the Palestinian society; they constitute a solid foundation for the Palestinian home within the community. Furthermore, he indicated to the youth political movements, unionism and youth associations, which played a remarkable role in raising national awareness and promoting rejection of occupation and insisting on restoring national rights.
On their part, participants demanded to work hard to disseminate and promote the concept of democracy and dialogue based on respect and accept others and rejecting any intolerance among young people in order to restore the Palestinian national cohesion. Moreover, the participants emphasized the role of youth at combating intolerance and protecting civil peace and warned of the negative effects of the absence of dialogue among young people who suffer from the absence of the concept of constructive dialogue based on acceptance of others.
The meeting was concluded with agreement on respect of pluralism in the Palestinian society and accept the other opinion to be the title of democracy and the success of all organizations and parties.
